On the occasion of World Sparrow Day on March 20, 2012, Plant & Animals Welfare Society, Mumbai (PAWS) in associated with Plant & Animal Voice adopted a movement called My Sparrow Home, wherein 101 nest boxes were installed in one single day at a public garden by involving citizens into its movement. This initiative of PAWS was taken by Sunish Subramanian Kunju and was supported by celebrities, politicians, social activists.
Sparrow Conservation Mission (SCM) has succeeded in giving adoptions of more 1,000 My Sparrow Home to individual & societies across various developing cities in India.
