Daniel Monteiro (born on January 3, 1962) an internationally renowned philatelist of Udupi, Karnataka conducted the solo exhibition of bird stamps of over 170 species displaying over 5,000 bird postage stamps, featuring birds from 175 countries, on December 8, 2011. The exhibition was held at SMS community Building, Brahmavar and was named as “Birdpex – 2011”.
