Master Vijay Singh (born on May 10, 1962) of Muzaffarnagar, U. P. has been sitting on Satyagraha in front of the office of the District Magistrate of Muzaffarnagar for the past 16 years since February 26, 1996 till date. His struggle is against corruption and the powerful land mafia who have illegally captured the public agricultural land and public properties. His fight is the longest continuous non-political and non-violent “One Man Agitation’ in the country. As a result his Satyagraha, about 300 bighas of land has been freed from the illegal land possessors.
